Hockley Chiropractic Clinic - Getting you BACK on track.
Massage

Because there should always be time for you....

At Hockley Chiropractic Clinic, we have found that many of our patients have benefited from being able to have massage therapy treatments alongside their chiropractic adjustments.

Massage therapy and chiropractic care complement each other because whereas chiropractic aids the restoration of normal joint mobility and function, massage therapy restores balance and strength to the muscles in and around the problem area.

Our massage therapist works closely and in conjunction with our chiropractors providing our patients with a complete care programme.

At Hockley Chiropractic Clinic we have various massage options, from Deep tissue sports massage to Indian Head massage - the choice is yours!

Sports Massage

Sports massage is a specific massage style that aims to reduce tension in the muscles and relieve stress on joints by releasing soft tissue tension through different techniques.

The aim of a majority of clients is to reduce stiffness and increase range of movement in the muscles. The therapist does this by warming the tissues with long strokes increasing in pressure, mainly being directed towards the heart.
Sports massage does not only work for sporty people. Anyone who has aches and pains from gardening, desk work or driving can benefit from a sports massage.

  • It reduces muscle tension.
  • Decreases muscle fatigue.
  • Increases range of movement and flexibility.
  • Breaks down scar tissue and adhesions which lead to improper  muscular function.
  • Reduces stresses on joints, ligaments, tendons, as well as muscles themselves.
